This page says what happens to the details you give me on this website. I use them to prepare your quote and to get back to you about it, and for nothing else. I do not sell your information, I do not rent it, and I do not hand it to anyone whose job is marketing.
1. Who you are dealing with
Todero Insurance Group is the trade name of Allstar Gold Insurance Inc., a Florida corporation, Florida document number P20000038189. The agency is licensed in Florida and works out of 4974 N Pine Island Rd, Sunrise, FL 33351. Juan Ignacio Todero is the agent, and he is the person who reads what you send.
2. What this site collects
The quote form on this site asks for four things, and I need all four to do anything useful with it:
- Your first name
- Your last name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
The form also records which language you were reading in, so that a Spanish-speaking visitor gets a call back in Spanish rather than in English. That is a hidden field, not a question, and it is the only hidden field that holds anything about you. The bot check in clause 7 adds one of its own, which carries its verdict on whether you are a person and nothing else.
Alongside that, my host records the ordinary technical details every website receives when a page loads: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, and the page or advertisement you arrived from. If you arrived by clicking an advertisement, that referral carries a campaign identifier, and I keep it with your enquiry so that I know which advertisement is worth paying for.
Three tools that are not mine collect a little on top of that, in the course of measuring my advertising and keeping robots off the form. Clause 7 names all three and says what each one takes.
3. What this site does not ask for
An insurance website is exactly where you would expect to be asked for all of it. Nothing on this site asks you for:
- Your Social Security number
- Your driver licence number or your date of birth
- Details of your vehicle, your home, or your business
- Any bank, card, or payment information
- Any medical or health information
I need some of that later, once you have decided you want a policy. I will ask you for it directly then, and I will tell you why. I never collect it through a form on this website.
4. Why I collect it
To prepare your quote, and to reach you about it. That is the whole of it. Your name tells me who I am speaking to, your phone number and email are how I get back to you, and the language field is how I get back to you in the right one.
I also look at how many people ask for a quote, and which advertisement or search brought them, so that I am not paying for advertising that does not reach anyone. That is counting, and it does not involve your name.
5. Who else sees it
A short list:
- Me, and anyone working in my agency who is helping with your quote.
- The companies I ask for a price. Getting you a quote means asking insurance companies what they would charge, and that means passing on what they need in order to answer. This is the reason you filled the form in.
- The services that run this website and my records. My website host, the spreadsheet where every enquiry is written down, and the system I use to keep track of who I owe a call back. They hold the data on my behalf and may not use it for anything of their own.
- Anyone the law requires, if I am ever obliged to produce records.
Nobody else. I do not sell, rent, or trade your details, I do not pass them to a lead broker, and I do not hand them to any business that wants to market to you. The three measurement tools in clause 7 are a narrower matter: they are told that a visit happened and what it did on the page, never the four fields you typed into the form.
6. Calls, texts and emails
When you give me your phone number on the quote form, you are asking me to get in touch about that quote, and I will: usually a call, sometimes a text or an email. That is the point of the form, and it is the only thing I use your number for.
You can stop it at any time. Reply STOP to a text, tell me on the phone, or email me and say so. I am not going to put you on a mailing list you did not ask for, and asking me to stop calling does not cost you your quote.
7. Cookies, analytics and the form's bot check
I advertise on Google and on Facebook, and three tools that are not mine run on this site: two that tell me whether those advertisements are working, and one that stops the quote form being filled in by a machine. I name all three below, with what each one takes and where to go to stop it.
Two of the three arrive through Google Tag Manager, which is a container rather than a tool in its own right: it is what puts the other two on the page, and it asks you for nothing. Loading it does tell Google your IP address and your browser, the way loading any file from another company's server does.
- Google Analytics 4, loaded through Tag Manager. It counts: which pages you opened and in which order, how long you stayed, whether a search or an advertisement brought you, the town your IP address puts you in, and the browser and device you are reading on. It sets cookies in your browser so that the pages you open read as one visit rather than as several separate visitors. It never receives your name, your email or your phone number. You can switch it off for every site that uses it, not only this one, with Google's own Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- The Meta Pixel, also loaded through Tag Manager. It reports to Facebook that a visit happened and whether it ended with the quote form being sent, which is how I can judge a Facebook advertisement on enquiries rather than on clicks. It sets cookies Facebook can read, and if you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram in the same browser, Facebook can tie the visit to your account. It never receives what you typed into the form. Your side of it lives in your own Meta account, under ad preferences, where you can turn off the activity that tools like this one feed.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, on the quote form. Without it the form is an open pipe into my phone, and a couple of weeks of that is a morning spent deleting enquiries from machines. It reads your IP address and signals from your browser to judge whether you are a person. It gives you no puzzle and no pictures of traffic lights, and most people never notice it. It is not an advertising tool, it does not build a profile of you, and it never receives the four fields you typed. What it keeps is Cloudflare's to explain, in their own privacy policy. There is no switch for this one, because it is what stands between the form and the machines. If you would rather not pass a bot check at all, use the phone number or the email address in clause 10 and skip the form.
Those three, and the container that carries two of them, are the whole of it, and I mean it as a closed list. Nothing else here is watching you. If I ever add a fourth tool, this page names it before it goes live, and a measurement tool running on this site that is not named here means this page is wrong. I would want to be told.
There is no cookie banner on this site, and that is a decision rather than an oversight. A banner puts a box between you and the page you came for, and almost nobody reads what they click through. I would rather use the space to tell you what runs here and where to go to stop it, which is what the list above is for.
8. How long I keep it
If you become a client, I keep your records for as long as you are insured through me and for as long afterwards as Florida requires an agency to keep them.
If you asked for a quote and we never did business, I keep the enquiry so that I know we have spoken and what about. Ask me to delete it and I will.
The cookies the two measurement tools in clause 7 set are not mine to keep or to delete: Google and Meta set their own lifetimes on them. Clearing your browser's cookies removes them today, and the opt-outs in clause 7 stop them being set again.
9. Your choices
Write to me at the email address below and I will, within a reasonable time:
- Tell you what I hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it, unless I am required to keep it as the record of a policy
- Stop contacting you
You do not have to quote a statute at me and you do not need a reason. If you are an existing client, I may need to confirm who you are before I change or delete anything, which protects you rather than me.
Two of those choices are not mine to action, and clause 7 is where they live instead: Google's add-on turns Analytics off, and Meta's ad preferences are in your own account. Write to me and I will point you at them, but you do not need me in order to use them.
This site is not aimed at children, and I do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
10. Changes, and how to reach me
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no notification list, so the date is how you tell. Anything you want to ask about any of it comes to me directly:
- (561) 473-7513
- juantodero@gmail.com
- 4974 N Pine Island Rd, Sunrise, FL 33351
